We are incredibly grateful to the Herts Inclusive Sports Initiative for their belief in the work that we do to support young adults aged 16+ with learning disabilities, SEN and additional needs to take part in inclusive daytime sports sessions across Hertfordshire. Their support has been key in helping us provide safe, welcoming and accessible opportunities for individuals who often face barriers to participating in physical activity.

Receiving this award has enabled us to deliver regular, sustainable daytime sports sessions, reach a wider audience and move closer to our goal of engaging as many adults as possible across the local community. The sessions were very well received by participants, who benefited not only from increased physical activity but also from improved confidence, social interaction and a sense of belonging across all sessions.

Having the support helped relieve financial pressures on our CIC by covering essential session costs and for many attendees, these sessions provided valuable structure to their week and a positive environment in which to build friendships and develop new skills.

Overall, the award has enabled us to build strong momentum in our delivery, reach more adults, offer a wider range of inclusive sports sessions and ultimately, increase our impact within the community.

Thank you!
